Those visiting or living in the Scottsdale area have some signature events to look forward to in September with the city of Scottsdale being home to some of the best restaurants in Arizona. Each year Restaurant Week is an event that both foodies and those who look to try someplace new will be excited about. Being Held September 21,2013 through September 28,2013 Restaurant week has restaurants in Scottsdale, Phoenix and a number of other cities for patrons to try. Featuring everything from Contemporary American cuisine through Italian, patrons are given a choice of a 30 or 40 dollar fixed price menu. Different restaurants offer different choices, ranging from wine flights to full three course meals. Those who have experienced this week in the past often come back for years to come.
Another event in September that is sure to draw a crowd is the Scottsdale Fall Championship. Held by the Arizona Quarter Horse Association, this event is held at Westworld September 25 -29th. An event the whole family can enjoy, admission is free and some of the finest horses in the country are set to attend. In addition to the equine exhibitors there are a variety of vendors with all sorts of items from clothing to accents for the home. There are also a number of vendors with foods to entice any taste.
For those who enjoy art, the Old Town Scottsdale Artwalk, held on Thursday evenings from 7-9 p.m. is open right up to the high season starting in October. This year marks the beginning of 39 years that the ArtWalk has been held. An iconic Old Town Scottsdale event held on Main and Marshall Way each Thursday, residents and tourists alike are sure to be found at this event.
